The Futures Literacy Laboratory (FLL)

Programme Overview

UNESCO defines Futures literacy as a capability or a skill that allows everyone to better understand the future’s role in their perceptions of the present.

Poise Nigeria as a hub for Futures Literacy in Africa in partnership with Hanze University, Netherlands has introduced the Futures Literacy capability, a new discipline that serves as a tool to significantly enhance the capacity to conceive and to use the future. While becoming “futures literate”, people start understanding how they refer to different kinds of futures in the present world as different forms of anticipation. FLL uses Collective Intelligence Knowledge Creation to methodically design learning-by-doing workshops, during which participants are able to collectively test a wide range of hypotheses and invent new solutions to improve your organisation.
