The world has become more connected than it has ever been with the advent of the internet and the massive rise in remote work, emails and the plethora of video conferencing software. 

All these have allowed businesses to transfer and share information across borders, leading to a more culturally diverse office environment. For this reason, employees are expected to practice cultural intelligence and embrace a multicultural approach in the workplace.
