International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

Programme Overview 

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) was established to facilitate your transition to an English-speaking country for purposes such as work, study, or relocation. This includes countries like the USA, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and others. The assessment evaluates your proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English. IELTS scores range from 1 to 9. The test is jointly owned by the British Council, IDP IELTS, and Cambridge University Press & Assessment. 

Course Objectives  

  • Recognize and overcome challenges presented in the IELTS exam. 
  • Be prepared for the mechanics of the IELTS exam, e.g. time allotted, format and order of questions. 
  • Write a variety of different types of essays, e.g. Persuasive, cause and effect etc. 
  • Formulate, express and defend opinions using appropriate vocabulary and grammatical structures.
